Loss & Grief
The client experienced a past lifetime where she lived a simple, contented life, provided for and protected by her husband. Later in the experience, her husband was killed in a hunting accident. She grieved the loss of love and connection. Shadows of that painful loss and a persistent feeling of being left unprotected, echo through her current life.

Power
The client experienced herself as a ruthless, powerful man in the industrial age. She was in a meeting discussing how to destroy, both financially and personally, a business competitor.
It was a reminder that the same potential for "good" and "bad" behavior exists in each of us; Tat Tvam Asi (Thou Art That, from the Sanskrit). This session was a cautionary tale regarding judgement.

Advice & Support from Spirit
Some sessions do not go to a past life, but instead to a place, real or imagined, where the client feels connected, peaceful and safe. Here, he or she meets with a member of their spiritual team*. In this session, the client met with a someone from her spiritual team offering her love and support.
*Spiritual team is a generic term meant to include religious figures, spirit guides, loved ones in spirit, ancestors or simply the client's highest self.

Advice from a Mystical Whale
Trance-state work is often metaphor rather than concrete. Your soul will speak to you in whatever method that is likely to be meaningful.
The meeting with this client's spiritual guide came suddenly, and in the mystical form of a whale who rose unexpectedly out of the water to speak with him. He stated that the whale wanted to take him someplace, as he climbed upon its back. He journeyed to its home beneath the sea, where he received advice that was meaningful to a current situation in his life.

Grandma Wisdom
This is an example of a regression, not to a past life, nor meeting with Spirit, but to a current time in childhood.
In this case, the memories were quite vivid, both in detail and emotion. The client's grandmother entered the kitchen and wrapped her in a hug, (which the client later reported as feeling "very real). It was only in the post-session debrief that I learned that her grandmother has been deceased for many years. The client felt assured that those in Spirit continue to watch, love and guide.

Cherished Daughter
(from my own personal session) I was a little girl in Victorian times and my father was asking me to pick out a pony for my birthday. I include this image to describe the impact of a simple experience. In past life regression, clients are able to feel and remember the emotions evoked. In this case, I had an intense, emotional experience of being a "cherished daughter". This was the final step in life-long healing (in this current lifetime) of not being cherished and protected as a young girl.

The Death Scene
Important note: Some clients express concern about experiencing the death scene during their past life session. This phase is important, as it takes the client to the point after death, where the soul or spirit can reflect on the major lessons during this lifetime, and how it may relate to a situation in the current life. The vast majority of times, it is a peaceful death and a beautiful experience. Sometimes death is not peaceful. Please be assured that as the client, you will not feel pain or fear, it is just a "knowing" - ("oh, that is how I died") and then the same important step of viewing the life (and death) through the lens of soul / spirit for the lesson. Please see the example from a session where I was the client.

Living Authentically
(from my own personal session) I was an herbalist in a small village and later burned as a witch. I felt no physical pain, but was acutely aware of a feeling of intense anger. The women accusing me of witchcraft had all been helped by me, as a midwife and healer. The re-living of this event helped me to see in myself a tendency to hide my talents, and not live authentically for fear of being misunderstood and punished. I am fairly certain that this has been a recurring theme for me throughout many lifetimes. Trust and living authentically has certainly proved to be a core area for growth for me in this lifetime.

Chakra Exploration
This is a specific journey clients may choose where we explore the meaning and health of each of the seven major chakra centers. Each door represents one of these (red/root, orange/sacral, yellow/solar, green or pink/heart, purple/3rd eye and white or gold/crown). The client is invited to explore each in whatever order feels natural. Note: on occasion, before completing all seven doors, the journey shifts to either past life or direct spirit guidance. I urge my clients to be open to however the session unfolds.

Wisdom through Chakra Exploration
This client chose several chakra centers to explore metaphorically. When entering the yellow door, into the solar plexus chakra, she came upon a child's room filled with toys. Even in her trance-like state, she was visibly annoyed about this. She went on to other rooms and finally to a past life experience. But in debrief, this is what stood out to her. The solar plexus chakra represents energy converted into action, influence and professional identity. During our post-session debrief, the client told me that she felt stalled in her career choice, and unable to grow (hence the children's toys). This, despite a successful past life experience, was the most important part of the session for her.
